A pelican in St James’ Park, London, carried a pigeon around in its beak for 20 minutes before swallowing it alive.
Puts a whole new spin on that limerick…
A wonderful bird is the pelican,
His mouth can hold more than his bellican,
He can hold in his beak,
Enough food for a week!
